NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Okay, now that the election is over I can finally say what I want (yea!): I am so damned proud of this country tonight. I finally feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel and hope is an incredible feeling.

I think I may have shed a tear of happiness tonight!

Lisa ~ I've had that pic in the que for a few days now praying I would be able to post it. :-) I got it from icanhascheezburger.com, so if you want to take it for your site, go for it!

Michele ~ I hear you loud and clear. I've been crying since CNN called the election for Obama. My heart is bursting with pride right now!

That's so funny, I titled my upcoming post the same thing! LOL! I would jump for joy if I could! I cried all the way through his speech. Unreal. High fives all around!!!!!!!

YES WE DID! I am still on such a high! I never thought I'd see a non-white president in my life time. I feel like my vote really counted. WE MADE HISTORY! Sorry for yelling, but I'm crying too. I feel proud to be an American again. Gosh, maybe I'll even move back across the boarder one of these days. It was totally out of the question with the "village idiot" running the country. (I hope I'm not offending anyone here.)

Congrats to all of us, Democrats, Republicans, ect.. Let's continue the possitive momentum and make some positive changes. YES WE CAN!

Congratulations! I've been watching the video of his speech and even I'm teary-eyed. This result is amazing, I'm so happy for all of you in the US and for the world as well!

This was absolutely terrific news to wake up to! I'm not sure I've ever been so pleased to be an American. :D

I hope Obama does his job properly now that we've put him there to do it!

Terri ~ We jumped for you. :-) And danced and cried, and my head still hurts. In a good way!

Teddy Rose ~ Yell to your heart's content. We have a lot to be proud of this day.

Joanna ~ I'm hungry to know how the rest of the world views this election. From what I've seen, we're not the only happy people today.

Meghan ~ Exactly. Getting him in the White House was step one. I'm not gloating yet. There is a lot of work to be done, but I have faith that with Obama as our leader, we'll do it. Yes we can!

Amy ~ Me, too! I'm going to be glued to politics for the next four years to watch it all unfold.

Andi ~ Steal away, my friend!
