NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Art History Reading Challenge

Here is an interesting Challenge I've never seen before:

Do you love art? Do you love reading about art? Join The Art History Reading Challenge and challenge yourself to read at least 6 books about art in 2009. These can be either fiction or nonfiction, and can span every genre from historical fiction to graphic novel.

If you're interested in checking out the suggestions or just signing right up, click here. Fiction books I can think of off the top of my head that would work for this challenge and aren't currently on the suggestion list would be:

The God of Spring by Arabella Edge

The Needle in the Blood by Sarah Bower

I, Mona Lisa by Jeanne Kalogridis

Leonardo's Swans by Karen Essex

I'm not sure if I'll sign up for this one, but I thought I'd let all of you know about it, in case you hadn't run across it yet. It sure looks educational!

Thanks for posting about the challenge! I've heard a lot of good things about A Needle in the Blood, and it is definitely on my to-read list (which is over 150 books long, but I'll never run out!)

PS - I am also an editor. Grammar rules!

Sarah ~ No problem! It looked so cool that I wanted to make sure other people knew about it even if I chose to restrain myself. Though I feel the restrait slipping. . . :-)

PS My job makes me paranoid about my grammar on my blog. LOL!

I hadn't seen this challenge before, but I have to say it is tempting! I am not sure what art history books I have still sitting around here to read though.

I will have to contemplate before joining in!

Marg ~ It was new to me, too. I love the idea! I think I'm going to do it, but I want to explore some of the books that would fit it first.
