NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

DIVA at the Minnesota State Fair!

The Minnesota State Fair. I love it, but it's sad when it finally gets here, because it signals the end of summer for a whole lot of us. However, I get to sing there this year! How cool is that!?!

DIVA will be be performing at Coasters Beer Garden at the Minnesota State Fair on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 1-5 pm. If any of you happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by! I'd love to meet you in person! In the meantime, here is a short video clip of Tony and I from one of our other performances to get your toes tapping just a little bit and put you in the mood for some fun dance music: (I posted it once before when I first started this blog, so it's old hat for some of you.)

I hope to see some of you there!

What fun! You have a great voice. I'm so glad you shared this with us.

Hey, you sound kind of like Cher without the weird voice catchy thing. Awesome!

Ah, how cool! I love the Great Minnesota Get Together but my husband put down his foot this year as I have dragged him to it the past five summers. So we're going to be at The Renaissance Festival instead. :-( Best of luck, though!

Andi ~ Thank you! I'm thinking about signing up for You Tube so I can include clips every now and then without taking up all my Blogger space. :-)

Chartroose ~ Thanks! I get the Cher comparison a lot. Especially when I sing "Turn Back Time"! :-) I'm good with that though. She's been my idol since I was a little kid.

Kim ~ Thank you! I love the fair, too, but Peter is not so fond of it. I can usually get him there if Weird Al Yankovic is at the Grandstand though! (He's one of my other idols.) :-)

Chartroose ~ My answer sounded conceited when I read it again. I meant I'm happy to be compared to Cher, not that I'm good at "Turn Back Time." I'll leave that decision to the audience. :-)

Oh rats! I would have loved to see you sing!

I'm not going to be in MN until Sept. 7th. I will only be there for a week and will be very busy getting my mom resettled, but I so want to meet you in person! If we can't meet this visit, hopefully the next. I'll be coming back more often not that my mom is moving back there.

Teddy ~ If you're busy this time around, we'll work it out in the future. I really want to meet you, too!

Margaret ~ I'll catch you when we do our European Tour. LOL! I'm glad you like the clip. We'll put more on the Official DIVA website, too.
