NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Book Blogger Appreciation Week Meme

It's coming!! Book Blogger Appreciation Week is on it's way in only a few short weeks and our tireless host Amy from My Friend Amy has gotten our anticipation cranked up with this short meme:

1) What was the highlight (something that happened, a post, an activity, etc.) of BBAW for you last year?

I was nominated for Best History/Historical Fiction Blog! The winner was the wonderful Meghan at Medieval Bookworm but just to be nominated was a thrill!

2) What is one new blog you discovered during BBAW last year?

Oh, my. There were so many! And I can't remember which ones I got to know specifically through BBAW. How about if I pick a couple I've gotten to know much better over the last year since BBAW? When you have a chance, stop on by at Rose City Reader and Rebecca Reads! Rebecca reads a lot of serious literature and writes deeply thoughtful and informational posts about them. Rose City Reader is notorious for her love of lists -- Authors, Awards, whatever -- and we get to benefit from her taking the time to put together and post them! Another newer blog to me that I have been enjoying lately is A Damned Conjuror Starts Lecturing. He makes me think and he makes me laugh. Who could ask for more? :-)

3) What tips would you share to help others get the most out of their BBAW experience?

Don't be afraid to get involved!! Just jump right into festivities! How else are we going to get to know you?? :-)

Aw thanks Lezlie for the heads up!

I too can't remember which blogs I "met" through BBAW. But it was a big help to cramming my reader full of great blogs!

Rebecca ~ You're very welcome! I've had a great time reading your blog. Like so many, I don't comment as often as I'd like, but I always keep up with reading it!

I discovered so many blogs last year, that I couldn't possibly name them either.

Bermudaonion ~ I can't wait to see new ones that have appeared on the landscape since then. I know there are *a lot*!!

Nymeth ~ Thanks! It was the best advice I could think of, because I remember that intimidating feeling of jumping in there with the "big dogs".

Another exciting BBAW post! I just keep reading and watching the calendar....LOL

I seriously think I need to push all appointments off that week. No extra activities for me lol

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Sheila ~ That is definitely a week that I will spend *far* too much time online. Better pick up some frozen dinners for hubby . . . :-)

Robin ~ And thank you for returning the visit! BBAW is such a great opportunity to get out of our shells and see some of the blogs we've been missing. I saw your post on The Project. I got you added to the sidebar. Have a blast and I hope to "see" you again soon!
