NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)
Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

2009 Chunkster Challenge
Here is one I was waiting for! There are a number of choices for participation this year, and I'm going for the wimpy one. I don't have too many Chunksters about the house, and I tend to shy away from the few I have even though they are wonderful books. I want to make sure I get at least a couple of them read this year. Therefore, I am going for The Chubby Chunkster level, which only requires two books of over 450 pages. I can do that!
Completed: 2/2 as of April 10, 2009 **COMPLETED**
1. The Annotated Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Hollis Robbins
2. Revelation by C.J. Sansom

I signed up for this one too. It's a neat challenge.
Lilly ~ I really enjoyed it last year, and it's a good way to prompt yourself to read those monsters we keep putting off until later. :-) Have fun!

oohhhh, I might have to do this one too!
Glad you're joining. You know I didn't realize I had that many already planned to read for other challenges until I started looking. Scary business. lol.
I just joined this one, too. I'm thinking about Anna Karenina, The Woman in White or Dance to the Music of Time. I'll be anxious to see what you choose.
Jo-Jo ~ You would have fun with it, that's for certain!
Dar ~ You list *is* scary! ;-) That's a lot of big books! I tend to do "chunksters" on audio, so I only have a few.
Lisa ~ Those all look great! I read AK many years ago when I didn't appreciate it. I'd like to reread that one sometime.

I can easily fulfill this challenge with a couple of my hope-to-reads this year. I get more overwhelmed with the picking of books for challenges and the tracking to sign up for any more, though.
BkClubCare ~ I'm not making lists for challenges this year if I don't have to. I felt too restrained by that last year, so I know what you mean!

Lezlie, I gave you an award. Check it out.
Thank you, Dar!!

Ok...I caved! I can't wait to read one of those Wally Lamb books that I have.
Jo-Jo ~ Yay! I can't wait to see what you choose!

I don't think there are any wimpy options in this challenge, Lezlie. :-) Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you end up reading!
Literary Feline ~ Thanks! With so many people signing up for 5 and 6 or more of these big ones, I was feeling a bit sissyish. :-)
