When they wrote that little ditty, I'm pretty sure they meant "rain" showers, not "snow" showers like we've been getting! I know. Whine, whine, whine.
Speaking of whining, I've been far too friendly with cheese enchiladas over our so-called spring, and I now need to clean up my eating habits before my next singing shows at the end of May. I really want to wear some of the awesome cocktail dresses I bought last summer, which means I need to break-up with Ol' Mexico and Don Pablos and hook up with The Eat-Clean Diet
and my Stepmill
. (Purchased for a steal of a price a few years ago at a second-hand exercise equipment store and currently being used as a spider condo in the basement. Icky!) But I have a fantastic motivator . . . Being the egotistical Diva that I am, if I reach my goal by May 22, Peter said he will buy me a new pair of eye-popping boots for the show. How cool are these?!?
My feel hurt just looking at them. But I just looooove platform boots!!!! I always thought Stevie Nicks looked so great in them. To say nothing of my idol growing up as a wanna-be rock star: Paul Stanley of Kiss.
There. I've stated it in public. Now if I don't get my cool new boots next month, I'll have to admit that I reverted to my old habits and failed miserably. And my alter-ego, The Diva, can't be having any of that! :-)Don't worry though. This plan still requires a trip to the bookstore. I have to buy the new exercise and eating plan books. I can work the bookstore into anything!

Mmmm, cheese enchiladas. I miss the Tex Mex ones I used to enjoy so much. The North Carolina cheese enchiladas just aren't hittin' on much.

Andi ~ Hopefully it won't be myself that I kill on those heels! But with some of the drunks at those bars we're singing in, it's nice to know there's a weapon handy. Not that I would use it. . . ;-)
Kara ~ I know. My age is so totally showing! But there's just nothing like Stevie and Kiss now. Or Blondie or Donna Summer or Duran Duran or . . . That's why we play all that kind of stuff at my Diva shows. It's such fun!
I was gonna comment something clever, but the half-naked KISS dude made me forget what it was.
J. Kaye ~ Paul in is prime was something else, wasn't he? Too much plastic surgery has made him look beyond scary now, but I love those old photos! I was hoping to find one of him in his Love Gun-era boots, but this one had to do in a pinch. :-)
It's snowing here too. :( As a South Texan girl at heart, I am beyond horrified. And very, very whiny. lol Snow should only fall in May if you live in the southern hemisphere.
