NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

I Couldn't Resist Sharing This

Hi, Everyone!

I've been very busy with extremely cool cooking stuff, but when this article came to my attention I couldn't help but share. Nothing like books and the NBA combining to get my attention!

The NBA's Locker Room Nerds

As for my reading, I'm still doing plenty of that but much of it has been in the area of vegetarian/vegan health and cooking. I've been making some amazing meals that leave me believing I may well have eaten my last hamburger and having no regrets! I just may have to change the name of this blog to "Cookbooks 'N Border Collies" and share my experiences. :-)

I hope all my readers and their families have been doing wonderfully! And keep an eye out here. You just never know what could happen . . . :-)

I enjoyed the article, but it's a shame that the readers are foreign! I'd love it if you'd share some of your recipes!

What a fascinating article! I love the NBA so I found it extra interesting. Do you mind if I borrow it and post? I'll give you credit for finding it!

Bermuda Onion ~ I'll share recipes when I can. Otherwise I'll definitely be talking about the cookbooks I got them from. I was also disappointed that more US players weren't readers, and I thought the insights as to why were very interesting. The funnest part of the article for me and Peter was that we have met Andrei Kirilenko and thought he was a really nice guy, so it was great to see him talked about!

Jenny ~ Please feel free! The more people who see it, the better! :-) I actually found it on The Millions, so you could credit them if you wanted. Check out the Rookie/Sophmore game for NBA All-Star Weekend tonight if you can. Two of my T-Wolves are playing: Jonny Flynn and Kevin Love!

How funny! I thought of you when I saw this article in the WSJ, now here you are posting about it!

Your cooking ventures sound both exciting and healthy. We are also attempting some small lifestyle changes...just baby steps for now, but the results are encouraging.

It's good to hear from you, Lezlie!

I was happy to see your blog pop up in my Google Reader! That's great that you are doing lots of cooking and reading about cooking. I'm also interested in vegetarian and vegan cookery, so I'd love to know some of the books you enjoy.

It was so good to see a new post from you. That was a cool article. If you have any vegan/veggie questions or ideas for recipes, just let me know. I'm so glad your giving it a try!

Charley ~ Thank you! I've missed the contact with everyone, but I've been having a great time not worrying about blogging, too. I'm glad people would be interested in hearing about the veggie cooking!

Uenohama ~ Hamburgers are my weakest spot. I love them! I've found a great replacement for beef stew, but I haven't found the vegetarian replacement for those hamburger cravings. I'm working on it though! :-)

Shellie ~ Thank you! I'm rounding up information to share. The first cookbook I want to post about is amazing! Stay tuned!

Hi, Teddy! I've been thinking of you a lot as we explore this. You are first on my list of contacts if I run into questions, for sure! Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I'm glad to see that things are going well with you!!! And feel free to share some of those recipes because I used to try to eat veggie three to four days a week and I've fallen off the wagon. Definitely need some more recipes.

Tried opening the article on Chuck's Mac and it's being persnickety, so I'll read it on my PC later. Yay for nerds!

Hi, Andi! The rumor is if everyone ate only a couple less meat meals a week, it could make a big difference for the environment, our health, and the animals. Every little bit helps! I'll get on this new plan of mine and start sharing soon!
