NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)
Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

Meet Jonny Flynn!
This week was my favorite Timberwolves Season Ticket Holder event: Meet The Timberwolves!! Yay! And my goal was to get a pic with our rookie, Jonny Flynn. Mission Accomplished!
How cute it he? And he's a wonderfully sweet guy. If I was ten years younger . . . OK. Twenty-five years younger, but who's counting? :-)
On the reading front: Yup. I'm a Harry Potter convert. Love them! I'm almost done with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and once I finish the books I plan to watch the movies. I hear nothing but good things about them.
On the cooking front: Here was one of our meals last week that we LOVED! I've linked to the recipes on the Eating Well Magazine website, which has become my new favorite recipe browsing site.
Tofu Au Vin served with Roasted Cauliflower with Blue Cheese Vinaigrette
Over the last couple of weeks I have learned that anything that calls for two cups of red wine in the recipe probably tastes fabulous. ;-) I'll be back soon with some more of those kinds of priceless vegetarian cooking tips. Don't forget your corkscrew!

The Timberwolves events sound like fun! Glad you're enjoying the Harry Potter books.
Bermuda Onion ~ Yay! People are still reading Books 'N Border Collies! :-) I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying the Harry Potter books. I can hardly tear myself away!

Oh he IS a cutie! And what a fabulous smile...both of you!
Yeah for Harry Potter...those books are so much fun!
Amy ~ Thanks! He kind of reminds me of a young Michael Jackson, before he started all the weird surgeries.

Thankyou so much Lezlie for your comment about Smokey/Mog
That recipe looks like great fun! Wine always makes things better. :D
And Flynn is adorable!
Awesome! You must've had a great time.

So good to 'see' you! I don't even know what Timberwolves is/are. A team - but not what sport. The only thing I follow is baseball. :<)
It's Jonny!! Every SU fan misses that smile! What a great addition to the Timberwolves. Hope you told him that we all still care.
Glad you're enjoying the HP books. One of these days, I'll try tofu...
Zetor ~ You're most welcome. I hope you're doing okay. It's always so hard.
Eva ~ I had a good time cooking it. I'm a big tofu fan though, so it's fun to do different things with it besides stir-fry meals.
I can't reproduce the symbol of the next commenter, but you're welcome! :-)
Anna ~ We did! It's great to meet my favorite team and find out they're every bit as nice as I want them to be.
Nan ~ Thanks! The Timberwolves are Minnesota's professional basketball team. I'm not a sports fan, but about five years ago I somehow got addicted to watching the Wolves. My sister is the baseball fan and shares season tickets for the Twins.
JoAnn ~ I don't blame them. It's a great smile! And he's soooo sweet!
Tofu was an acquired taste for me. I hated it the first few times I had it, but once I learned how to cook and use it correctly I became a huge fan. I can see why it's not at all appealing to many people though. If you've never had it, this recipe is a great introduction.

He is cute! The tofu dish looks and sounds wonderful. I printed it off.
Tip: If you wrap the tofu in a kitchen towel or cheese cloth, gently press and leave wrapped for a half hour or more it will absorb the flavors even more than just patting dry.
Teddy ~ I always mean to do that, then I forget and don't have enough time. Grrrr. One of these days I have to make sure I give that a try!

Sounds like you had a great time at the meet-and-greet! The first dish looks delicious!
I know you're not blogging much, but I hope that you will come out for one day during National Poetry Month and sign up for my blog tour:

Nikola ~ Thanks!
Nathan ~ You're very welcome! I hope you like it as much as we did if you try it.

Hi Lezlie, just wondering how you are? Hope life is going well.
Zetor ~ Hello! How nice of you! I'm doing really, really well. We're just taking life easy and enjoying our summer. How about you and your family? I hope all is well with you, too!

Hi Lezlie,
Looks like the Wolves just got SU's Wes Johnson in the draft... I may have to come to Minnesota for a game next season!
Hope all is well ,
JoAnn
Hi, JoAnn! Yes, they did! The crowd at the draft party was quite pleased. If you come out for a game, let me know. The Wolves sales staff would give you a queen's treatment! :-)
