NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)

Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

The Minnesota State Fair Rocked!

Whew! 85 degrees and hundreds of people, but Tony and I rocked the Minnesota State Fair for four hours yesterday. What a blast! Peter filmed some of it, so I should have a clip for you before too long. I want to thank everyone who came to visit and all the new folks we met who made the day such fun!

Meanwhile, the details for the Michelle Moran Book Giveaway will be posted at midnight tonight. Wait until you see what we have in store for that!!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

I have great memories of the MN State Fair! It was so much fun. We have the PNE here, but I went once and never went again. There is really no comparison.

I adore the MN State Fair! To have the chance to perform there was really a treat for me. I hope we get to do it again next year!

Dar ~ Thanks for all the support and comments on the DIVA site! I've lost track of which comments I've replied to, so I'm just going to give you a mass "Thank You!!" for them all. :-) And I'm glad people are so excited about the contest. It's been fun to put together! I'm hoping to have similar ones in the future with other historical authors.

Glad to hear that you had fun at the fair. I love the MN state fair, my husband is not quite as big of a fan, so we compromised and decided to go to the Renaissance Festival instead.

I love the fair, though, so I'm sure I'll be dragging him back again.

What stage did you perform at? Any other fun traditions you have at the fair?

Kim ~ We were at Coaster's Beer Garden across from the Midway entrance. Great location! We're hoping to be able to play there next year, too.

As long as I get my Cheese-On-A-Stick, I consider it a good day at the Fair. :-) I go for the food (the pita sandwiches as one of the main entrance carts is another fav) and the animal barns -- The first weekend for the draft horses, the second weekend for the goats.
