NOTICE: (Updated March 5, 2010)
Beginning December 19, 2009, Books 'N Border Collies will be posting but only intermittently while I pursue personal goals. I plan to share some reading I'm doing, but there will be no reviews. I will, however, be sharing my exploration of vegetarian cooking and the cookbooks and websites I use to educate myself. I hope you enjoy it!

On The Mend
Peter sends his sincere thanks to everyone who posted such nice comments over the last couple of days. He's feeling much, much better this morning. He says his face pretty much feels like he got hit with a baseball bat, but everything else appears to be in good working order. And Skye is much relieved that I didn't actually leave Daddy at the pound. :-) Max, however, is not sure about having to relinquish his new awesome spot on the bed.
Tonight my alter-ego is off to play Rockstar Diva again, so there won't be much reading going on until tomorrow. (The dress in our poster is slated for tonight's fashion.) So, until then, here are me and Tony to entertain you:
Have a great weekend, Everyone!

I love that song...How fun! Glad to hear Peter is on the mend.
Glad to hear Peter is doing well. I enjoyed your video - boy, can you sing!
JoAnn ~ It is one of my favorites to sing. Steve Perry is pretty much right in my range!
Bermudaonion ~ Thanks so much from both of us! :-)

Oh my goodness! I haven't been checking my blog everyday so this was a surprise to find out about the surgery! Wow I hope he feels better soon. With everything going on with my sister I haven't posted all week and probably won't get a chance to do so for another week. So you're not the only one MIA. Take care.
Jo-Jo ~ Hi! I hope things are going OK for you guys. I know you've been having more than your share of things this week, too. We're so far, so good, so you take care of yourself also!

I'm so glad that Peter is on the mend. However, how dare he take Max's new found spot of the bed! LOL! Hopefully Peter will be pain free soon!
Thanks for the song!
Glad to hear Peter is doing well. lol about Max. Buddy wouldn't be too appreciative of being booted off his spot either. I love this video. This song is perfect for you. Someday I'm going to see you perform my friend. Have a great weekend.
Teddy Rose & Dar ~ Thanks! We actually ended up cancelling the show, because Peter had a relapse of his atrial fibrillation. :-( Thanks to the heart monitor he is wearing, though, we were able to get the data to the cardiologist, talk to him on the phone and have medicine in hand within about 90 minutes. His heartrate is just about normal again, and should be fine by the end of today or tomorrow. It gets crazy sometimes!

My husband is really into podcasts right now. It seems like every time I come across something I want to hear, he's got one going. Let me see if I can find my headphones . . .
I loved the video, Lezlie. You really do have a wonderful voice.
I am sorry the show had to be canceled. How is Peter doing? I was sorry to read about the relapse. Hopefully he won't have any more scares like that.
OMG, what a scare! Thanks goodness he is okay now. What is his long term prognosis, if you don't mind me asking.
Literary Feline ~ Thank you so much! Peter is doing well now that we have the medicine. His heartrate is still bouncing around, but not to the extremes that it was.
Teddy Rose ~ I don't mind you asking at all! What he's got is not life-threatening, but it makes him feel very, very sick. We're monitoring his episodes closely now that he's on the meds, and he'll go in and talk to the cardiologist in two weeks. There is talk about doing a procedure where they scar the heart tissue that is causing the problem, which would then keep the fibrillations from happening, but we won't know about that for sure until the doc has a chance to study his case more closely. So, in a nutshell, we're keeping a record of his heart activity, and they'll decide exactly what to do once we have more data. In the meantime, the meds are helping a lot.

Glad he's okay!
Well you have a lovely voice! I was in chorus at school for years and did a couple of solos but it was a little too nerve-wracking for me!
Ladytink ~ Thank you! When it comes to singing, I rarely get nervous. I have huge anxiety problems with public speaking though. Weird.
