Book Blogger Appreciation Week Meme

It's coming!! Book Blogger Appreciation Week is on it's way in only a few short weeks and our tireless host Amy from My Friend Amy has gotten our anticipation cranked up with this short meme:

1) What was the highlight (something that happened, a post, an activity, etc.) of BBAW for you last year?

I was nominated for Best History/Historical Fiction Blog! The winner was the wonderful Meghan at Medieval Bookworm but just to be nominated was a thrill!

2) What is one new blog you discovered during BBAW last year?

Oh, my. There were so many! And I can't remember which ones I got to know specifically through BBAW. How about if I pick a couple I've gotten to know much better over the last year since BBAW? When you have a chance, stop on by at Rose City Reader and Rebecca Reads! Rebecca reads a lot of serious literature and writes deeply thoughtful and informational posts about them. Rose City Reader is notorious for her love of lists -- Authors, Awards, whatever -- and we get to benefit from her taking the time to put together and post them! Another newer blog to me that I have been enjoying lately is A Damned Conjuror Starts Lecturing. He makes me think and he makes me laugh. Who could ask for more? :-)

3) What tips would you share to help others get the most out of their BBAW experience?

Don't be afraid to get involved!! Just jump right into festivities! How else are we going to get to know you?? :-)

  1. Aw thanks Lezlie for the heads up!

I too can't remember which blogs I "met" through BBAW. But it was a big help to cramming my reader full of great blogs!
