I don't remember the ending very clearly. And I had no idea it was part of a trilogy! I actually have The Mysterious Island on my shelf, but didn't know the two were related. Now I'll have to look for the first one, and then read them in sequence someday.Jeanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270303640902731044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606392701671180733.post-76922100144268495672009-11-05T17:01:39.991-06:002009-11-05T17:01:39.991-06:00Ah, yet another classic I haven't yet gotten a...Ah, yet another classic I haven't yet gotten around to reading. Some of the parts that were so thrilling when it was written lose a little of the edge now because those things have actually been done.

LezlieLezliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05747969193923246804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606392701671180733.post-81286377997802978162009-11-04T13:42:22.180-06:002009-11-04T13:42:22.180-06:00I think my son read this years ago and enjoyed it....I think my son read this years ago and enjoyed it. I read The Mysterious Island without ever reading 20,000 Leagues (I did see the movie though) and I can say that it WILL answer your questions, but it will take until the end of the book to do so. In fact, I should probably warn you that Nemo is not the focus of the book by any means. If you want to check out my spoiler-free review, here's the link.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to put more Verne on my reading list for next year ...Heather J. @ TLC Book Tourshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474181812740579350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606392701671180733.post-11039812148454258802009-11-04T08:22:29.255-06:002009-11-04T08:22:29.255-06:00I totally agree with you on the ending.
