How Cool Is This??

For the last three years Peter and I have been reading the various annual editions of The Intellectual Devotional, which we have loved. The various topics are always interesting, but I inevitably look forward to Literature day every week. What would be my 2010 Edition is going to be all about health and wellness. Intriguing, but I think it may get bumped because I found this: The Bibliophile's Devotional: 365 Days of Literary Classics!! I mean seriously. Does it get any better than that? I think not! Yes. I bought it. Score!! It's on my nightstand waiting impatiently for New Year's Day.

  2. I'm getting it! Thank you for the post. It sounds great! One question - it isn't just for 2010 is it?

  3. Nan ~ No. The dates just read Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 with no year. We can use it over and over again! Yay! Or pass it on to the next book lover. We can only hope they make a series out of this!

  5. JoAnn ~ Cool! I wanted to make sure I let you all know about it as soon as I saw it. I'm betting it will be a popular item among book bloggers this holiday season!

  6. oh, great! This must go on the list, NOT on the stack.
And then I was returning a book which is overdue, to the library today and started reading it in the car before I gave it back and I really really like it.
So that goes on the list-to-stack, too! (Btw, it's OUTLIERS by Malcolm Gladwell).

  9. Oh ~ Which ones do you read first -- the list or the stack? For me, the stack would come first because those would be the books I own, the list are things I want to read but I don't have yet.

Veens ~ It's every bit as good as it sounds! It's all I can do to keep my hands off it until the beginning of the year.

Eva ~ Not to wish the year away, but I can't wait to start it. I think you would love the Intellectual Devotionals. So much information in nice bite size chunks!!

  18. Nan ~ Oh, don't think I haven't been tempted!! :-) I'm sticking to my plan though. This year I will continue to read The Intellectual Devotional nightly, and this one will wait its turn. It's hard though!

  23. That's awesome. I'll have to tell my husband. He's always looking for gift ideas for me. But then again, he says he'd like to get me something other than books. Well, it's worth a try. ;)

  24. Anna ~ While I can appreciate your husband's sentiments, mine has given up and just buys me book-related stuff. :-) It's definitely worth a try.
