Hah - I just did the same thing and apparently mine is worth nearly $40k! Well, that can't be true, because if it was I'd probably sell it to pay off my school loans ... I enjoy blogging, but I would enjoy being debt free more!
Meghan ~ I agree. There is nothing like debt free!
Bermudaonion ~ I think when I first did mine a while back, it wasn't worth much.
Literary Feline ~ Nice! If only we could cash them in. . . :-)
Katherine ~ I wonder what it is that the program is calculating. It sure is fun to play!
Marg ~ $80,000? I think that's the most I've heard so far! Imagine how much all our blogs will be worth in another couple of years. We'll *all* be able to retire! :-)
How does that thing assign a value? Mine would be enough to pay off a school debt & half, if only it were cash in hand. I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy a blog for thousands, or /horrors\ selling my blog and starting over either. So it's just a funny figure to amuse my debt-ridden mind.
Jeane ~ I was wondering the same thing. I don't know what the program used to come up with that number. I can tell you my blog, for all it's worth to me personally, has made enough in reality to maybe buy me a nice latte for Christmas. :-)

ReplyDeleteSadly, mine is only worth $3300. I can't retire yet.
ReplyDeleteMine came out to $63,228.48, which is a lot more than it was worth a year ago. :-)
ReplyDeleteMine came out at over $42,000, which is more than what I make in a year at my job.
ReplyDeleteI remember doing mine a couple of years ago and got a value of 0.00, but I am doing a bit better now with a value of about $80000.

Lezlie
I'm depressed..mine's not worth anything =(
ReplyDeleteAmy ~ Sure it is! It's worth all of us going over there and reading it. Real readers are better than fake money. :-)

Lezlie - how right you are! I love my readers...that's what makes it all worth it.
ReplyDeleteIf only they were worth something in real dollars!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Amy, it will increase in value soon.

I think it is to do with the number of links or something like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marg! I thought it might be something like that.

Mine is worth $47,000. Gosh, I wonder if that's per year? LOL!
ReplyDeleteTeddy Rose ~ I never thought about that question. Hmmmmm. . .
